  1. What is Security Rating Score and how important is it?
    Security Rating Score provides you with an overview of how secure your site is. It is important to get your score checked regularly to offer a secure cyber space. How is the score calculated? We use various metrics related to your site to calculate the score. Here is a detailed explanation of how it is done (Link to the help doc).
  2. What are the grades that'll be assigned?
    We assign a range of grades from A to E, which is the least.
  3. How frequently will the scan be run?
    By default, the scan frequency is one week. But, you can configure your preferred frequency by choosing any of the options—two days, one week, or two weeks.
  4. Can I request a rescan of my domain?
    Yes, you can initiate by clicking the Scan Now option next to your domain name, on the Summary page. However, the number of manual scans that can be initiated per day is limited as it involves considerable data collection and checks performed at the back end.
  5. How are malware checks performed?
    We crawl the domains, fetch all downloadable links, and scan the file content to track the presence of malware.
  6. What headers are generally analyzed?
    X-content-type-options, X-XSS-protection, content-security-policy, X-frame-options, strict-transport-security, server, and x-powered-by headers are analyzed.
  7. How are defacement checks done?
    Pages are loaded using a browser and checks are performed to track additions or modifications of HTML elements such as text, script, image, link, iframe, or anchor tags.
  8. What email security protocols are validated?
    SPF and DMARC.
