Hi Ash,
As of now, we don't provide an out-of-the-box monitoring solution for DHCP servers.
You can make use of our custom SNMP monitoring and monitor a DHCP server by adding as a custom device.
Refer to the help documentation to know more about this. Feel free to reach out to our support team for further clarifications.
Thanks,
Santhi
Hi Ash,
We have an update.
We have created a global template that you can use to monitor the list of subnets maintained by your DHCP server. Go to Network > Device Templates > Global Templates and search for the template named DHCP Server. You can import and edit the device template to add more metrics of your choice using Custom Performance counters.
Hope this helps.
Regards,
Santhi
Hi Santhi,
I tried the above method. Does not work.
We are using Windows server 2012 R2. Server does not return any SNMP data related to DHCP. Though I can query server via SNMP for other information .e.g. network interface status etc.
Microsoft may have stopped supporting querying DHCP server via SNMP.
Kind Regards,
Ash
Hi Ash,
We are working on supporting WMI-based Windows server monitoring. We will check the feasibility of DHCP monitoring through WMI as well.
We will keep you posted in this thread.
Thanks and regards,
Santhi
Thank you.
It will also be good if DNS server monitoring using WMI also be in the road-map. The current DNS server monitoring using site24x7 is very basic. It does not provide any insight other than availability and response time. There are so much else to monitor in DNS server.
Kind Regards,
Ash
Hi Ash,
Custom WMI monitoring is on our product road map and we will be working on it soon.
You will be able to monitor all the metrics supported by WMI. You can create your own metrics for the WMI-enabled devices in your network with the help of Custom WMI monitoring.
We will keep you posted about the updates.

Santhi
